We contribute to sustainable development
We are committed to contributing to the global sustainable development goals towards 2030. Every day, we are working with sustainable development within climate, society, diversity and working environment.
We support the UN’s 17 Sustainable Development Goals with particular focus on goals 6, 7 and 13.
We make the Sustainable Development Goals relevant
We support the UN’s 17 Sustainable Development Goals towards 2030. At Verdo, we have particular focus on Sustainable Development Goals 6, 7 and 13.
- Clean Water and Sanitation
We contribute to the UN’s Sustainable Development Goal 6 when we buy up forest land. In this way, we protect the area of the source of one of our waterworks, while binding CO2 and reducing emissions.
− Climate Action
We contribute to the UN’s Sustainable Development Goal 13 when we use sustainable, certified fuels at our plants. Since 2008, we have reduced CO2 emissions by 99% at our CHP plant.
